Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2009, The Hong Kong Ballet is a vibrant performing arts organization with a mission to be a world-class ballet company reflecting the cosmopolitan and vibrant energy of Hong Kong and be the ambassador of the arts that Hong Kong people are proud of.
Our repertoire reflects the major classical European traditions along with contemporary styles. We celebrate our distinct identity: cultural diversity rooted in our Chinese heritage with a Western influence. The 43 dancers come from 11 countries and regions, with a core of Chinese artists. In 2007/08, The Hong Kong Ballet gave 37 local performances and two debuts in Beijing and Shanghai. Since 1997, the Company has continued to raise its international profile and has made over 18 tours to ten different countries. The Hong Kong Ballet is committed to deepen the appreciation of ballet to the wider public, organizing meaningful outreach and education programmes for the community.

Management and Staff
We are currently seeking outstanding candidates to fill the following full-time positions:
Executive Director
The Hong Kong Ballet is seeking an Executive Director who, along with the Artistic Director, jointly will operate the Company and jointly will report to the Board of Governors. The Executive Director is responsible for the general management of the Company, the efficient execution of its policies and decisions and all of the commercial aspects of its operations, including financial management and planning, brand management and marketing and development of private sponsors and donors. The Executive Director is also the primary representative to the HKSAR Government and its funding bodies, who are the major supporters for the organization.
The Executive Director also is required to collaborate closely with the Artistic Director, who is responsible for all artistic matters, and to provide commercial and administrative advice and support for arranging performance venues, planning and financing programs and tours, recruiting and managing artistic staff and contracting guest artists and production contractors.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Minimum experience of 15 years as an effective senior executive in a a dynamic, entrepreneurial organization, with experience in arts administration an asset but not a requirement;
- Substantial fund raising experience in developing private sponsors and donors;
- Strong connections in the government, business and arts circles in Hong Kong;
- Substantial experience in marketing, customer acquisition and brand development;
- Excellent communications and people skills;
- Strong financial management skills;
- High level of fluency in English and Cantonese and preferably also Putonghua.

Marketing & Development Director
Eager to attack untapped potential opportunities that are in line with the Company's direction, the successful candidate should be a strategic thinker with analytic skills and at the same time passionate in promoting the performing arts.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Degree holder in Marketing with at least 10 years relevant experience, 5 years of which in a senior executive position
- Proven records in fundraising, brand building, marketing & sales, media relations and public affaires.
- Strong organizational ability and analytical skills
- Good team player with project, people and budget management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in E marketing
- Well versed in English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua)
Deputy Stage Manager
To assist the Stage Manager in routine operation of stage management and co-ordinate all technical matters between Artistic and Technical Department.
Qualifications and requirements:

Bachelor Degree or Advanced Diploma holder of Theatre Technical Arts or minimum 3 years' experience in stage management with HKCEE qualifications;

Proficiency in both English and Chinese; Putonghua is preferable;

Excellent in computer skills;

A good team player with excellent communication skills.
Temporary Stage Manager
Responsibilities:
- To assist the Technical Director in routine operation of stage management and co-ordinate all technical matters between Artistic and Technical Department.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Advance Diploma holder of HKAPA school of TEA with 3 years' experience in stage management OR with minimum 7 years' experience in stage management with HKCEE qualifications;
- Proficiency in both English and Chinese; Ability to speak Putonghua is desirable;
- Experience in large scale theatrical productions;
- Experience in working with professional performing company is an advantage;
- Excellent in computer skills, Microsoft office and AutoCAD is a must;
- A good team player with excellent communication skill;
- Need to work on Sundays and Public Holidays as well as overnight when necessary.
Massage Therapist
Responsibilities:
- Experts in muscle and body analysis, provide body care & massage services, through a variety of techniques including deep tissue.
- Design specific sessions based on individual needs.
- Provide high standards of care by performing therapeutic body massage that addresses dancers’ immediate physical and emotional condition.
- Accurately assess dancers’ conditions in order to take prompt actions.
- Be part of a comprehensive care structure focused on people, quality and efficiency in order to ensure faster dancers recovery.
Qualifications and requirements:
- Degree or Diploma holder in related discipline with 10 years of experience.
- Must have a minimum of 2200 hours of Massage Therapy training, and recognized qualifications.
- Fluent in English, ability to speak Putonghua is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Strong believer in providing quality healthcare and excellent service.
- Experience in working with professional performing company is an advantage.
- Need to work on weekends and Public Holidays when necessary.
