For our dedicated ballet fans, we are organizing a Ballet Masterclass with our own Ballet Mistress Miss Tang Min onstage at Sha Tin Town Hall on Sunday, 25 August.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hone your ballet technique in this masterclass! Afterwards, watch our powerful dance artists in their warm up class on stage (12:15pm-1:30pm) as they prepare for the show. Each class participant can bring two guests to watch the masterclass and Company class together.
Born in Jilin, China, Tang Min graduated from Beijing Dance Academy. She danced with The National Ballet of China as Principal Dancer from 1979 to 1988. Throughout her career, she was also a Principal Dancer at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Fort Worth Dallas Ballet. Tang won the silver medals at the Osaka International Ballet Competition in 1984 and the Varna International Ballet Competition in 1986. Before joining Hong Kong Ballet as Ballet Mistress in 2009, she held the same post at Guangzhou Ballet for four years.
