On Saturday 14th March 2015, the opening night of The Sleeping Beauty, The Hong Kong Ballet hosted an enjoyable and informative pre-performance talk on stage at the Auditorium, Tuen Mun Town Hall before the show commenced. The Company’s Artistic Director, Ms. Madeleine Onne, and Education & Community Outreach Department Manager, Ms. Vency Kwok, conducted a 15-minute talk in which they discussed the background of the eternal classic, the four magical characters including Princess Aurora, Prince Désiré, the malevolent fairy Carabosse and the good Liliac Fairy, as well as demonstrating to audience members part of the mime from the ballet! The talk brought approximately 750 audience members a better insight to the production right before they enjoyed the show!
