Mark Annear’s dynamic masterclass is a special opportunity for dancers age 13+ to elevate their ballet skills! The Royal Ballet School’s former Director of Training and Access, Mark seamlessly blends technical work with creativity and performance skills and adapts exercises to each group, focusing on clean classical technique, artistry and musicality.
Mark brings a wealth of in classical dance knowledge and experience to students. Whether you’re looking to polish your technique or take your artistry to the next level, this masterclass is an invaluable opportunity to personally learn firsthand from a master teacher!

About Mark Annear
Born in Melbourne, Mark is currently a freelance Senior Dance Education Consultant. He graduated from The Australian Ballet School and performed with the Dancers Company and the Australian Ballet in several leading roles. During his dance career, he was appointed Assistant to the Ballet Staff of The Australian Ballet.
With 35 years of vocational dance training experience, Mark was a Classical Dance lecturer at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts and The Australian Ballet School's senior classical teacher and Head of Senior School and Academic Studies before being appointed as Head of Teacher Training and Community Access. At the Royal Ballet School in London, he was Director of Training and Access.
As a choreographer, Mark has created over 50 ballets for The Australian Ballet School, the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival, Richmond Ballet - Virginia, Royal New Zealand Ballet, West Australian Ballet, The Dancers Company and The Royal Ballet School.
Mark received a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Training from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s degree in School Leadership from Monash University.
