Born in Hong Kong, China, Leung Chunlong graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2009 and from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2011 with a concentration in Ballet. He joined Hong Kong Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member the same year and was named Coryphée in 2014. He was appointed Hong Kong Artist-in-Residence in 2025.
With HKB, Leung has danced principal and featured roles, including Fritz and Rat King in Terence Kohler’s The Nutcracker, Jewels in Cynthia Harvey’s The Sleeping Beauty, Tai Po and Tall Guy in Septime Webre’s Romeo + Juliet, Pinocchio in Pär Isberg’s Pinocchio, Gaston in Val Caniparoli's Lady of the Camellias, White Rabbit, Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum and Fish in Webre’s ALICE (in wonderland) and Nick Carraway in Webre’s The Great Gatsby. He has also performed in John Meehan's Swan Lake, Anna-Marie Holmes’ Le Corsaire, Nina Ananiashvili’s Don Quixote, Ronald Hynd's Coppélia, Natalie Weir’s Turandot, Webre’s Ballet Classics for Children: Cinderella, George Balanchine’s Jewels and Serenade, Jiří Kylián's Petite Mort, Nacho Duato’s Castrati, Alexei Ratmansky’s Le Carnaval des Animaux, Jorma Elo's Shape of Glow, Edwaard Liang’s Sacred Thread, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Sombrerismo, Stephen Shropshire’s Handelwerk, Fei Bo’s Shenren Chang and Nguyen Ngoc Anh’s Beyond The Line (excerpts).
His choreographic works include tʃHey (2016), L’espoir (2017), [I] (2018) ,Wayfaring (2019), Underworld (2021), Contaminate (2022), She ² (2023), Lumiere (2023), Ordinary (2025) and Agglomerate (2025). Leung received an Outstanding Performance Award at the 2003 Taoli Cup Dance Competition.
