Born in Jiangxi, China, Zou Mengjie graduated from Beijing Dance Academy in 2023, and then joined Hong Kong Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member and performed La Bayadère in the same year.
Her notable accolades include third place at the 2020 Youth Grand Prix Asia Pacific senior classical category, top 12 at the 2021 Youth Grand Prix International Finals senior classical category and third place at the 8th Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools 2021.

Ballet is the shelter that holds my emotions. I can express my emotions completely through dancing.

3.What’s the most challenging ballet you have danced and what made it so challenging?
The Giselle pas de deux is my favourite excerpt since controlling the emotions and movements is quite difficult.
4.How do you unwind after a show?
A hot bath and delicious food.
5. What keeps you motivated on tough days?
Encouragement and support from my friends.
6. What is the Place where you feel most yourself?
Enjoy ‘me time’ in an empty studio, which allows me to play my favourite music and dance.
7. If you could have one more talent, what would it be?
Talent for languages.

Cakes.

Pianist.
