[Hong Kong — 2 October 2025] To celebrate the 76th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China’s founding, the National Day Fireworks Display was held at 8:00pm on 1 October 2025 with over 30,000 firework shells. The dazzling 23-minute display featured eight dynamic scenes with whimsical giant panda faces along with beautiful peony and golden chrysanthemum pattern fireworks blossoming in the sky.
For the second consecutive year, Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) and Harbour City staged an innovative outdoor ballet show, ‘AXA Presents: HK Ballet Spectacular by the Harbour’, with AXA’s support this year. Choreographed by HKB Artistic Director Septime Webre, the inspiring 20-minute original performance featured 30 HKB dancers and 10 Hong Kong Ballet Academy students and seamlessly fused elegant classical ballet with beloved local traditions, delighting the audience. Highlights included six excerpts from the holiday classic The Nutcracker infused with Hong Kong elements like twirling dim sum, spirited racing jockeys and more. The memorable evening concluded with a powerful rendition of Carmina Burana, delivering a visually striking finale that brought the festivities to a thrilling peak!
