<Hong Kong – 18th October 2014> The Hong Kong Ballet Ball, one of the longest running fundraising events in the city, was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong on Friday 17th October 2014. The much anticipated event was made possible by Buccellati who graciously contributed to the event as Luxury Sponsor.
Mrs Daisy Ho, Chairman of the Hong Kong Ballet commented on the importance of this night, “The funds raised at The Hong Kong Ballet Ball are a major contributor to the Company’s annual revenue. The proceeds generated by the Ball allow the Company to continue to develop creatively and artistically; to provide care for our dancers and to commission world-class choreographers to create tailor-made ballets that contribute to the Company’s unique character, as well as expanding the Company’s education and outreach programmes.”

Over 300 prominent society figures and celebrities attended a night of fine dining and fabulous entertainment. Guests at this year’s Ball enjoyed a sneak preview of the Company’s mixed bill production: A Celebration of Dance – The Hong Kong Ballet at 35. Guests enjoyed a showcase of the legendary classic Swan Lake Act III, and Castrati, a powerful piece. The full length mixed bill will also include Serenade and will be staged from 24th-26th October.
As well as enjoying this advance performance, there were opportunities throughout the event for guests to bid on an attractive selection of auction items. Live auction items included a Buccellati gold cuff from their Dream bracelet collection; The Art of Vintage Collection from Champagne Partner Perrier Jouët; A Telluride ski week for two and “Name a Cocktail” – a fun and rare opportunity for the winner to name a cocktail after a loved one. Silent auction items included three stunning items from Buccellati’s esteemed silverware collection and a series of Handmade ‘Miniature Tutu’ by the Hong Kong Ballet Wardrobe.
