[Hong Kong — 26 October 2024] On 25 October, Ferragamo Proudly Presents 45th Anniversary International Ballet Gala at Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre featured some of the world’s most talked-about international star dancers and stellar Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) artists in a historic celebration of HKB’s landmark 45th anniversary.
The grand evening brought audience a dazzling programme of dynamic contemporary pieces and mesmerising excerpts from ALICE (in wonderland), Swan Lake, Le Corsaire and Don Quixote, as well as a pair of iconic pas de deux by twentieth-century master, George Balanchine—the effervescent Tarantella pas de deux and the majestic Tchaikovsky pas de deux. This one-night-only programme saw international guest artists Iana Salenko, Daniil Simkin, Constantine Allen, Victor Caixeta, Emma Von Enck, Maia Makhateli, Qi Bingxue and Xu Jingkun take the stage to thunderous applause.
Guests experienced breathtaking artistry and magical masterpieces at HKB’s biggest party of the year, which joyfully culminated in a glittering finale with everyone performing together on stage. We are honoured to celebrate 45 extraordinary years of innovation, inspiration and impact with the audience.
On opening night, HKB proudly hosted Ferragamo management, including China and South East Asia Pacific CEO Mr Simone Casalini, China and South East Asia Pacific General Manager Ms Annade Leung, China and South East Asia Pacific Marketing Communication Director Ms Nell Chen, along with ballet star Tan Yuan Yuan, HKB Chairman Ms Daisy Ho, Vice-chairman Ms Linda Fung, HKB Board of Governors Mrs Janice Chan-Choy, Mrs Deirdre Fu Tcheng, Ms Maya Lin, Mrs Cherry Tse Ling Kit-ching, GBS, JP, Ms Evonne Tsui, The Hong Kong Ballet Guild Co-chairs Mrs Lillian Lee Fong and Mrs Emelda Wong Trainor, leaders from renowned Chinese ballet companies.

HKB maintains the Hong Kong Academy of Ballet, a professionally-oriented ballet school, as well as a full schedule of award-winning community programmes and crossover collaborations throughout Hong Kong to ensure ballet is accessible to all. HKB has also produced engaging original videos and dance films that have collectively garnered over 10 million views online, connecting with ballet lovers worldwide.
