[Hong Kong — 14 April 2025] This Easter holiday, follow Alice down the rabbit hole as Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) and SJM Resorts, S.A. (SJM) present a magical premiere of The Adventures of ALICE @ Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau. This exciting collaboration highlights SJM and HKB's commitment to arts and culture development that strengthen ties within the Greater Bay Area and nurture local talent. Beginning on 12 April 2025, this dynamic new show will provide enchanting entertainment for the whole family and is a delightful prelude to a series of upcoming residencies debuting this summer.
Inspired by the award-winning ALICE (in wonderland) ballet that garnered critical and public acclaim in Hong Kong, Beijing, Singapore and the United States, HKB Artistic Director Septime Webre created the vibrant The Adventures of ALICE residency, which blends classical ballet with contemporary flair. The talented cast includes HKB dancers and local dancers from Macau and the Greater Bay Area. With a cutting-edge panoramic stage at Grand Lisboa Palace’s Atrium, the thrilling show features celebrated composer Ng Cheuk-yin’s lively new score and Cirque du Soleil designer Liz Vandal’s opulent costumes. With immersive lighting and riveting projections creating a truly unique sensory experience, audiences will be delightfully transported to Alice’s colourful world! Guests will also have the opportunity to watch an open class rehearsal before the show.
At Grand Lisboa’s Lobby Lounge from now until 30 June, guests can indulge in Alice-inspired pastries and beverages and experience Alice, the Queen of Hearts and more in parades and interactive appearances throughout the resort. Don’t miss capturing enchanting memories with photo opportunities featuring whimsical Alice-inspired elements amidst the picturesque Jardim Secreto.
