Caring Community Visit

During 19-22 June 2018, Hong Kong Ballet representatives paid special visits to three community organizations to share the joy of dance with engaging presentations. Close to 90 members of The Salvation Army Yaumatei Integrated Service for Young People, Kwun Tong Methodist Social Service and Tung Wah Group of Hospitals – Tuen Mun Integrated Service Centre participated. 

Parents and children learnt more about the history of ballet and watched a live demonstration of ballet positions, mime and movements. They also had the opportunity to examine the tutus and pointe shoes up close as well as learn a short, exciting combination dance excerpt. 

Additionally, as a result of a kind Hong Kong Ballet donor, two groups of participants received souvenir bags with gift certificates and vouchers for local vendors and daily essentials. Everyone appreciated the afternoon of interactive learning and fun!
