Carmen and More Open Dress Rehearsal

We were pleased to host nearly 300 participants at an open dress rehearsal for Carmen and More on 25 May 2017 at Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre. The audience included members of the Arts with the Disabled Association, Methodist Southorn Centre for the Elderly, Helping Hands, Sik Sik Yuen Ho Wing Neighbourhood Centre for Senior Citizens, International Church of the Foursquare Gospel Lung Hang Elderly Centre, Hong Kong Community Network-Link Centre and Caritas Social Work Services Division.

Before the start of the rehearsal, everyone acquired a deeper understanding about each piece’s background in Carmen and More through an introductory talk presented by Education & Community Outreach Manager, Vency Kwok, with a sign language translator for hearing-impaired participants. We had a wonderful evening with our esteemed guests from various NGOs at the open dress rehearsal, and we could see that they truly appreciated the dancers’ graceful movements, their unique costumes and the seamless, technically complex choreography showcased in the performances.
