Creative Ballet Training Project

The Nutcracker -Magic Theatre

As part of the “The Nutcracker” Creative Ballet Training Project presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and supported by The Hong Kong Ballet, Magic Theatre was held at the Auditorium, Tuen Mun Town Hall on 11th January 2015. Magic Theatre is a demonstration of behind-the-scenes wizardry, teaching the audiences all about the sound and lighting effects used on stage. In addition to the technical demonstration and an introduction to stage etiquette, the audience had a chance to watch signature excerpts of The Nutcracker performed by The Hong Kong Ballet’s dancers, and to get on the stage to participate in interactive games. The event attracted around 670 audience members, including students from primary schools participating in the “The Nutcracker” Creative Ballet Training Project and various social organizations.
