Pinocchio – Open Dress Rehearsal
An open dress rehearsal of Pinocchio was held on 27th August 2015 at the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Almost 290 participants including members of Arts with the Disabled Association, We R Family Foundation, Kwun Tong Methodist Social Service, Yau Ma Tei Integrated Family Service Centre of Social Welfare Department, Hong Kong Family Welfare Society, Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service and ChickenSoup Foundation were in attendance. They acquired a deep appreciation for, and understanding of, the story and background of the ballet by listening to a talk before the rehearsal. For our guests’ convenience, we arranged a volunteer to provide sign language translation for a group of hearing-impaired participants. The appreciative audiences really enjoyed this ballet production and were impressed by the gorgeous ballet movements and spectacular staging effects.
