The Nutcracker – Open Dress Rehearsal
An open dress rehearsal of The Nutcracker was held on 17th December 2015 at the Grand Theatre, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, with more than 200 participants in attendance, including members of Arts with the Disabled Association, ChickenSoup Foundation, Little Life Warriors Society, Pok Oi Hospital Fung Tak Family Multiple Intelligences Centre and We R Family Foundation.
Before the rehearsal, they received a deeper understanding about the background and the story of the ballet through an introductory talk, with a volunteer providing sign language translation for a group of hearing-impaired participants. The performance was greatly appreciated by the audience, and Hong Kong Ballet is delighted to share the warm, festive atmosphere of Christmas through this meaningful rehearsal performance to a variety of people in need within our society.
