All eyes will be on some of the world’s most talked-about international star dancers and stellar Hong Kong Ballet (HKB) artists in a historic celebration of HKB’s landmark 45th anniversary! This grand evening promises to be an enthralling must-see event with a dazzling programme of dynamic contemporary pieces and mesmerising excerpts from ALICE (in wonderland)Swan LakeLe Corsaire and Don Quixote, as well as a pair of iconic pas de deux by twentieth-century master, George Balanchine—the effervescent Tarantella pas de deux and the majestic Tchaikovsky pas de deux. This one-night-only programme features international guest artists Constantine Allen, Victor Caixeta, Emma Von Enck, Maia Makhateli, Qi Bingxue, Iana Salenko, Daniil Simkin and Xu Jingkun.

Principal Dancer, Dutch National Ballet

Born in Indiana, USA, Constantine Allen trained at various ballet schools worldwide before joining Stuttgart Ballet in 2012. Within six months, he became a soloist and was later promoted to principal dancer in 2013. Since 2018, he has been a Principal Dancer with Dutch National Ballet. Allen's repertoire includes roles in classics like Giselle and Swan Lake as well as contemporary works like John Neumeier's Othello with Stuttgart Ballet and Armand in John Neumeier's La Dame aux Camélias with Dutch National Ballet. His notable accolades include the Grand Prix at Tanzolymp Berlin and the Bronze Medal at Youth America Grand Prix, New York.
 

International Ballet Star

Graduated from the Staatliche Ballettschule Berlin, Brazilian dancer Victor Caixeta joined the Mariinsky Ballet in St Petersburg in 2017 and was promoted to the rank of soloist in 2019. He relocated to the Netherlands in 2022 as first soloist with Dutch National Ballet, where he performed Raymonda and Sleeping Beauty partnering Russian star Olga Smirnova. Caixeta was promoted to principal in 2023 after his first performance of Swan Lake. In 2023/24 he debuted as Albrecht Giselle and performed all the classical ballets at the young age of 24. His broad repertoire makes him a very versatile dancer and one of the most talented dancers of his generation.

Principal Dancer, Dutch National Ballet

Dutch National Ballet principal dancer Maia Makhateli has performed all the classical ballet principal roles in leading theatres of the world, along with performances in modern choreographic productions. A recipient of the prestigious Alexandra Radius Award in 2015, she also won the Nina Ananiashvili and Gilbert Albert Award in 2011. A world-renowned ballerina, Makhateli has performed José Carlos Martínez’s Le Corsaire (Slovenian National Theatre), Benjamin Pech’s Swan Lake (Rome Opera) and Eleonora Abbagnato’s Giselle (Teatro Lirico). Recently she debuted the title roles in the world premieres of Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Frida Kahlo and Rachel Beaujean’s Raymonda (Dutch National Ballet) and debuted Nikiya in Benjamin Pech’s La Bayadère (Roma Opera).

First Principal Dancer, Shanghai Ballet
National First-Class Dancer

National First-Class Dancer Qi Bingxue graduated from the Affiliated Dance School of Shanghai Theatre Academy, joined Shanghai Ballet in 2014 and was promoted to First Principal Dancer in 2023. She has danced principal roles in The White-haired Girl, Coppélia, Giselle, The Last Mission of Marco Polo, A Sigh of Love, Swan Lake, Le Fantôme de l'Opéra and Lady of the Camellias, among others. Notable accolades include Rising Leading Dancer of the 30th Shanghai Magnolia Stage Performance Award, the top award in the 3rd Beijing International Ballet and Choreographer Competition and Gold Award in the 5th Shanghai International Ballet Competition and the 10th China Dance Lotus Awards.

Principal Dancer, Berlin State Ballet

Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, lana Salenko received ballet training at Vadim Pisarev's school in Donetsk. Salenko became a soloist at Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre after her graduation in 2000. In 2002, she moved to Kyiv Ballet as a principal dancer. She joined Berlin State Ballet as a demi-soloist in 2005 and became a soloist the following year. After dancing the title role in Cinderella, lana became a principal dancer in 2007. In 2013, she made her Royal Ballet debut in Don Quixote and became a regular guest with the company. Salenko has also performed in galas and companies in Croatia, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Russia and Taiwan.
 

International Ballet Star

Born in Novosibirsk, Russia, Daniil Simkin began daily ballet training with his mother at the age of nine. A frequent prizewinner in ballet competitions, he won Gold Medal at the prestigious Jackson International Ballet Competition and Grand Prix at the Helsinki International Ballet Competition. Simkin started his professional journey at the Vienna State Opera as a demi-soloist in 2006 while guest-performing around the world. He joined American Ballet Theatre as a soloist in 2008 and was promoted to principal dancer in 2012. 
In 2018 he joined Staatsballett Berlin as a principal,expanding his repertoire while splitting his time between Berlin and New York. In 2021, he founded Studio Simkin.
 

Principal Dancer, New York City Ballet

Emma Von Enck is a current principal with the New York City Ballet (NYCB). Following her apprenticeship with NYCB in 2016, she officially joined the corps de ballet in 2017 and was promoted to the rank of soloist in 2022. With the company, she has performed works by renowned choreographers, including George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, Justin Peck, Alexei Ratmansky and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Von Ench began her dance training at age 5, attending the Royal School of Ballet. 
She studied at the Cleveland School of Dance under Gladisa Guadalupe and later at the Cleveland Ballet Conservatory with Kerry Skuderin.
 

Principal Dancer, Shanghai Ballet
National Second-Class Dancer

National Second-Class Dancer and Shanghai Ballet principal dancer Xu Jingkun graduated from the Affiliated Dance School of Shanghai Theatre Academy in 2017 and joined Shanghai Ballet in 2019 after further training in Australia. He has danced principal roles in The White-Haired Girl, Giselle, Le Fantôme de l'opéra (Derek Deane), Follow the Light (Wu Husheng), A Sigh of Love (Bertrand d’ At) and Swan Lake (Grand Version, Derek Deane). Xu won top prizes in the Junior Group category in international ballet competitions in South Africa (2014), Hong Kong ;Star of Canaan Dance’ (2015) and Shanghai (2016) and also garnered awards in the International United Cloud Dance Competition (IUCDC) in 2020 and 2021.
