FANCL proudly presents The Nutcracker

Hong Kong Ballet’s popular Christmas show will delight more guests its second week

[Hong Kong – 19 December 2017] Embrace the magic of the season with the timeless Christmas tradition of The Nutcracker! Hong Kong Ballet’s The Nutcracker, choreographed by Terence Kohler, brought a wonderful sense of festivity to Hong Kong last weekend with its perfect fusion of Tchaikovsky’s timeless music, magical scenery and sparkling costumes. The first five performances with live accompaniment by Hong Kong Sinfonietta dazzled audiences over the weekend. Five pairs of dancers, Jin Yao and Wei Wei, Ye Fei-fei and Li Jiabo, Gao Ge and Li Lin, Dong Ruixue and Shen Jie, and Chen Zhiyao and Xia Jun shone brightly on stage in the lead roles of the Ballerina and the Nutcracker. Garry Corpuz and Forrest Rain Oliveros also enthralled the audiences with their successful debuts as the Rat King.

On Opening Night, Title Sponsor FANCL hosted a Pre-performance Cocktail Reception and an Intermission Cocktail Reception, both of which were attended by Mr Christopher Chan, Managing Director of Fantastic Natural Cosmetics Limited (FANCL); Mrs Michelle Chan, Executive Director of Fantastic Natural Cosmetics Limited (FANCL); Mrs Connie Wei Yang and Mrs Liana Yung Yeung, Co-Chairs of The Nutcracker Christmas Benefit 2017; and special guests including Mr Peter Cheung, Mrs Malti Dialdas, Mr Will Lam, Ms Wendy Law, Ms Maya Lin, Ms Edna Wong, Mr Cheung Chi Lam, Ms Eileen Tung, Ms Snowy Choi, Ms Sofie Rahman, Ms May Kwong, Ms Jocelyn Chan, Ms Sharon Cheung and Ms Christine Au Yang, who had the opportunity to be photographed with Hong Kong Ballet dancers.

With FANCL’s donation of HK$38,400 to the Company’s Accessibility Fund, Pok Oi Hospital Yuen Yuen Institute Children and Families Development Centre, as well as Pok Oi Hospital Mrs Cheng Liu Sam Memorial Children and Families Development Centre received 100 complimentary tickets to attend the 16 December matinee performance. A pre-performance talk was also specially organised for the two beneficiary organisations.
