The Hong Kong Ballet Guild Dinner - Sponsored by Perrier-Jouët

The Company’s most avid supporters
celebrate the end of another successful year

[Hong Kong – 24th March 2014] – On 11th March, The Hong Kong Ballet Guild hosted a glamorous private dinner, sponsored by esteemed champagne house Perrier-Jouët.

The dinner celebrated the end of another successful membership year for the Guild; since its establishment in 2008, The Hong Kong Ballet Guild has regularly arranged events, including the annual Nutcracker Christmas Benefit, post-performance parties, Meet-and-Greet sessions with the dancers, studio visits and Backstage Tours. The Guild also engages with the community by extending invitations to children from various charitable organisations such as Arts with the Disabled Hong Kong and Po Leung Kuk to watch The Hong Kong Ballet perform.

Addressing the room, The Hong Kong Ballet Guild co-chairs Janice Chan-Choy and Daphne King Yao thanked all of the Guild members for their loyal patronage and support this year, and thanked Perrier-Jouët for generously sponsoring the evening. The Guild members profited from this occasion to deepen their relationship with the Company, chatting to The Hong Kong Ballet’s new Executive Director, Mr Paul Tam and two members of the Artistic Team, Director of Artistic Planning & Touring Mr Joseph Morrissey and Director of Wardrobe Ms Anna Kjellsdotter. Several of The Hong Kong Ballet’s dancers were also in attendance, and patrons enjoyed getting to know Principal Dancer Miss Jin Yao, Soloists Miss Candice Adea, Mr Li Jia-bo, Mr Shen Jie, and corps de ballet members Mr Jonathan Spigner, Mr Frank van Tongeren, Miss Sarah Yeung and Miss Jessica Burrows in the relaxed and intimate atmosphere.

During the dinner, Mr Xavier Beysecker, Managing Director, Pernod Ricard Hong Kong, welcomed the Guild members and their guests as well as the staff of The Hong Kong Ballet. Perrier-Jouët’s Cellar Master, Mr Hervé Deschamps who flew in especially from France led the launch of a brand-new limited edition champagne and gave dinner guests the exclusive privilege of being the first to taste Belle Epoque Première Edition 2007; a wine created in celebration of Spring. He was also on hand to speak to guests about the new edition and guide them in their tasting of three other Perrier- Jouët champagnes. The co-chairs also expressed their hope that this dinner would mark the beginning of a long and happy partnership between The Hong Kong Ballet and Champagne House Perrier-Jouët.
