Mini Tutu Design Contest - Public Exhibition & Prize Presentation Ceremony *Postponed

‘Mini Tutu Design Contest – Public Exhibition’ will be held from 29 July to 9 August to display 40 fabulous designs from shortlisted entries at Hong Kong Cultural Centre’s Foyer Exhibition Area. Come admire the exquisite artwork from our imaginative mini tutu designers!

Date: 29 July 2020 (Wednesday) - 9 August 2020 (Sunday)

Time: 9:00am - 11:00pm

Venue: Foyer Exhibition Area E1, Hong Kong Cultural Centre

Prize Presentation Ceremony: 9 August 2020 (Sun)


After staying at home for so long, let’s get out some coloured paper and scissors and make the tutu of your dreams! Hong Kong Ballet invites you to join our MINI TUTU DESIGN CONTEST and use your creativity and infinite imagination. Show us your most amazing tutu by 20 May!

Categories

A:  Age 4-6 (Parent-Child) 

B:  Age 7-15

C:  Age 16 or above   

Specifications of Entries

  1. All entries submitted must be original and never published before.

  2. Each participant may submit a maximum of three entries.

  3. Mini tutus should be the size of 20 cm x 20 cm.

  4. Participants can use any materials for the mini tutu design, like paper, ribbons, stickers, masking tape, etc.

  5. Please take a photo of the mini tutu design for contest submission.

  6. Entries shall be in the form of digital files and submitted in JPEG, PNG and PDF format. 

  7. The total file size of entries for each submission should be at least 1MB but should not exceed 8MB. 

  8. Include a brief description of the ideas and materials used in the tutu design using no more than 100 words in English or 50 words in Chinese.

  9. Please keep original artwork for possible future exhibition.

* 40 shortlisted entries will be announced, and public voting will open online on Hong Kong Ballet’s Facebook page. (Voting will end on 8 June at 5:00pm.)

The entries that receive the most “likes” will be the top three winners in each category.
